The End of the World As I Know It

Micah figured out how to get onto the kitchen chairs today. It is all downhill from here. Nothing is safe and secure from him anymore. I seem to remember this stage with the other kids as being one that included lots of falls and bumps and an exhausting amount of me taking kids off the table.

- First, and foremost, I am a believer in Jesus Christ and am totally in love with God. Next I am a wife to Aaron and a mom and homeschool teacher to 6 great kids. My days are crazy, hectic, loud, wild, fun, exciting, annoying, entertaining, and irritating. But through it all I am so very blessed!

- "You need to measure me with a tape measure. Maggie said I am even bigger than a garden gnome." (Micah, October 2011)
- "Jesus is the Holy." (Micah, January 2011, holding his Bible high.)
- "I think we are in Richard and Anna's valley." (Micah, October 2010)
- "Micah, we can't drink 7-Up." (Glory thought that you had to be 7 and UP to drink the pop.)
- Glory knew better than to say "no" to me. Instead, she wrote "no" across her math page when I told her to do her clocks. And then she erased it and wrote "ok". (October 2010)
- "Could you please clause the movie?" (Micah, October 2010)
- "I'm so exciting to go to Anika's house." (Micah, October 2010)
- "I hate those octopus-es!" (Micah, May 2010)
- "I see a rooster in the tree!" (Micah, April 2010.) Actually, it was a cardinal.
- "I love cute-cumbers." (Glory, May 2010)
- "Be a human!" (Micah speaking to Ellie when she was making kitty noises, February 2010.)
- "Are we in our village?" (Glory, as we pulled into our neighborhood, Jauary 2010).
- "I want to read Serious George." (Glory, requesting a Curious George story again.)
- "I almost passed-over!" (Ellie says this instead of "passed out" when being dramatic.)
- "Those are cat-lets!" (Glory, while learning about mammals and seeing kittens in a book.)
- "Potty comes out of my pee-pee!" (Micah, after going on the potty for the first time, Oct. 2009)
- "I'm 'cited!" (Micah, excited to be at WalMart with me.)
- "There is bird diarrhea on my window!" (Glory, riding in the back of the Suburban for the first time)
- "Do I look stupid in this picture?" (Caleb, talking to me.) "No, but you sure look little!" (Me) "You mean a little stupid???" (Caleb)
- "You're a bad Christian!" (Glory, May 2009. Her version of "I hate you???!")
- "Mo-mee!" (Micah, saying my name, with an indignant pre-teen attitude.)
- "Hmmm, let's see." (Micah, 24 months)
- "We all agree. We need a short bus." (Ellie-being the voice for kids who want a new vehicle.)
- "What, do you want me to be POOR?" (Maggie, sobbing, when I took her piggy bank to help her close it.)
- "I can't read when my toenails are long!" (Maggie, 2.2.2009)
- "I love you, Mommy. Yesterday I said I hated you when I was in the bathroom." (Glory, 2.4.2009)
- "Mom, chillax-ilate is like sooo 2008!" (Ellie, 2.1.2009)
- "Somebody smells like a zebra!" (Ellie, referring to Micah and his stinky bottom)
- "Daddy. You will love me forever if you go get me one animal cracker." (Glory, 3 a.m., sick with a stomach bug)
- "Gwory, mean." (Micah, age 21 months, referring to Glory.)
- "When can we visit Mount Rushmore? Mount Rushmore is my FAVORITE mountain." (Ellie)
